Hello everyone,
I would like to share a small observation regarding the opening of paragraph 559 in the book Heart.
The Russian original begins:
Сказавший: «Глазами сердце видим» — имел в виду не символ, но закон физический.
The English translation reads:
He who said, “We see with the eyes of the heart,” had in mind not a symbol but a physical law.
Grammatically, the phrase «Глазами сердце видим» means “We see the heart with the eyes” (глазами = with the eyes, сердце = the heart, видим = we see).
The English version renders it as “We see with the eyes of the heart.”
I have already tried to raise this point privately. I do not wish to create any further disturbance.
I am simply sharing what I noticed, as someone who values the original text.
Please forgive me if this post causes any discomfort.
My only intention is to share an observation, not to disrupt the harmony of the community.
Thank you for your understanding.
