Karma and its beauty

-Karma itself is a truly beautiful law. Karma is our unique and inseparable creativity and achievement. An unparalleled story of our existence.-

E.I. Roerich, June 17, 1946

Generally, karma is seen as something bad, a kind of punishment or revenge of natural laws upon people. Helena Roerich presents it to us in such a different way, as the product of a creative process. It depends on our creative capacity to make something beautiful or painful.

Madame Roerich demonstrates in this case that when a person’s consciousness is expanded and oriented toward beauty, they see everything differently and beautifully, even that which many see as tragic and ugly.

Thank you for the post on karma. Its interesting that in some places in central Asia the Lords of Karma are often referred to as the Lords of Compassion. For some reason in the Western countries while the usage of the word karma has become more and more prevalent through the decades whether in books, or movies, or some articles, its more often generally assumed to be a negative development in one’s life or even a curse. People seldom stop and think that all karma which we have earned for ourselves, in this and other lives, exists to help us move forward in our spiritual evolution. What can be more benefic than that, though it may take us some detatchment, or insight at times to appreciate the gift that it truly is. Doesn’t matter what one experiences through karma at one point in time or another but we shouldn’t forget to realize that its all originating from a profoundly compassionate impulse to help us along in our perfectment. :dove:
